Why would I pick standard shipping when I’ve got Amazon Prime? Get that crap off my checkout page before I accidentally select it.

Where’s The Prime Logo Go?

Where’d the Amazon Prime logo go? It took me some scanning to figure out if this lens was eligible for prime. Why’d they ditch the cool lil logo they used to have?

UPS Blows & Amazon.com Rocks

For the last year or so I’ve been developing some serious mad-hate for the fuckers at UPS. I’d never had an issue with them in the past but ever since I’ve been getting stuff delivered to Fuzz its been one wreck after another.

UPS truck crash

I’ll get to the whole “Amazon.com Rocks” part of this in a bit but first, a bit ‘o history:

It all started about 18 months ago when I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of my 20thAnniversary Silhouette. I waited about 4 months for this custom order guitar and I started stalking the UPS tracking from the second I was notified that it had shipped. Anyways - this is where the nightmare starts. I saw about 20 UPS trucks drive by throughout the day but none of ‘em stopped! At about 5pm on supposed-to-be-a-glorious day the guitar was still “Out for delivery”. Being annoyed and eager I parked my ass on the curb outside the office and waiting for Brown to stop by… no dice. No go the next day either. Same bullshit; No notice stuck to the door, no update on the tracking page, no help when I called - nothing. They just flaked. It finally showed up 3 days later.

BS experiences like that have become completely normal by now. So, now on to the latest debacle…

This time ’round I’ve been waited for Assassin’s Creed to show up. It’s been “Out for delivery” since Friday at 5am (its Monday 7:23pm). The tracking page has had no update since this Friday morning. WTF? I figured I’d call UPS with hopes that they’d just say something like “Oh, its on the way - the system’s got a glitch”. But, no. The lady at UPS pretty much said that it sounds like the package is lost and I should call Amazon so they could initialize an investigation.

Eh, I called Amazon and some nice lady in Bangalore, India picked up and was awesomely helpful. In about 5 minutes she looked up the order, noticed the off whack tracking info and processed a replacement for me which they’re going to send via 1 day shipping.

This is pretty sweet customer service. I’m pretty stoked. Its nice to deal a company that takes care of shit!

The game should get here on Wednesday. I’ll just keep checking out this sweet clip ’till it arrives.

listening to Nothington and jonzing to play some music soon.
